Educator Identification Account Number (EID)
A new CTE educator who has a certification record on file with the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) has been issued an Educator Identification Account Number or EID. Please use your EID account number at all times when communicating. Individuals issued a South Carolina educator certificate will also have a Certificate Identification Number (CID)—but your EID is your primary account number with the SCDE.
Your EID account number is available through your user account in the SC Educator Portal.
